Due to a sudden bout of general malaise, we've switched to Ubuntu for now. We couldn't get Windows to load anymore, but this is running fine. Found out our printer/scanner (Canon MF3220), which is wonderful in itself, does not like to run under something non-Windows though. Went online, poked around, looked at computer, poked around some more, gave up, logged onto LJ and here I am, asking for help.

Pretty please with fried crickets on top?

Update: Nokey was here on Saturday and poked around some more while I fed him syrup waffles and cinnamon tea. He didn't get the printer to work but he did fix various other issues. The only fix we've found so far involves setting up a network and it seems like a lot of trouble to go through to get a printer to work.

I will see if I can find a Canon Laserbase MF3220 printer driver for a linux enviroment for you... I have to look at a bunch of Ubuntu printer drivers anyway for my new backupcomp at work.

Update: no dice there. Loads of requests for one, but it does not seem like Canon one available, and no homebrews either.
